Son #4's quilt

Son #4's quilt was made with light and dark blues from many different fabric lines and this fabulous and simple tutorial.  It is straight line quilted vertically.

And yes, a few more close ups for you. . .

That does it for my Christmas quilts.  They were fun to put together and hopefully my boys will enjoy them for years to come.

Son #3's quilt

I actually started this quilt for my baby, but son #3 loved it so much that I decided to finish it for him.  It is a cute sort of "Eye Spy" quilt made using the Chain Reaction quilt pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew.  I quilted it using horizontal straight lines.  A few close up shots for you. . .

Son #2's Quilt

This is the quilt I made for my second son.  When he opened it he was mad that it didn't have minky on the back like his dad's.  Oh well.  He seems to like it just fine now, and if you look closely, it has been well used and already needs a wash.  I made this using shades of blue and green from many different fabric lines and the Juice Boxes pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew.  I straight line quilted it in squares along the block lines.  Here are a few close ups.

Quilts for my boys

I made quilts for most of my boys for Christmas this year.  I did not make one for my baby because I already made one for him earlier this year.  I also did not make one for my oldest boy because I have plans to make a quilt for him for a special day he has coming up this year.  I will be blogging about the quilts I made for the others over the next few days.

Today, I am going to start with the quilt I made for my husband.  He told me that he didn't care what it looked like as long as it had something soft on the back.  It was nice to have his permission to make this one a bit more girly.  It didn't want it to look too feminine though so I decided on using Hometown by Moda.  I made this with a layer cake, two charm packs and this tutorial.  It is backed with cream minky with brown circles.  He loves it.  I did the straight line quilting myself on my machine. This quilt is large and I will never attempt to quilt such a large one on my machine again. It was tough.    Here are a couple of close up shots.
